Oogie Boogie Bash Map and Sheet Sheet Preview

Trying to figure out where Oogie Boogie, Hades, the Sanderson Sisters, Kingdom Hearts Mickey and Madame Leota are all hiding inside Disney California Adventure? Same.

We’re heading to our first Oogie Boogie Bash this fall, and while Disney’s official event map is helpful, we wanted to understand the lay of the land before those five very expensive party hours started ticking away.

And we had questions. Who is meeting at that character icon? Which villain is at that treat trail? Where does Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake stop for the full performance instead of simply passing by? You know. Minor details.

So naturally, we made our own map. Our 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash Map & Printable Cheat Sheet adds the planning details we wanted at our fingertips: villain-hosted treat trails, the characters meeting at each traditional character location, rotating character areas, Villains Grove, PhotoPass locations, Halloween ride overlays and Madame Leota’s route—including the full-performance show stops.

If you’ve used one of our Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party maps and cheat sheets, this one follows the same idea: put the information we actually want in the park onto one easy-to-use map.

2026 Oogie Boogie Bash Map & Cheat Sheet

2026 Oogie Boogie Bash Map & Cheat Sheet with character locations, trick or treat trails, and entertainment

🧚 Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Save a copy to your phone before your party. Five hours goes remarkably quickly, and “Where exactly was Hades again?” is not a question I particularly want to be answering while standing in the middle of Disney California Adventure at 9:17 p.m.

What Is Included on Our Oogie Boogie Bash Map?

Disney’s official event map gives you the basic locations. We wanted ours to help answer the next question:

Okay, but what is actually there?

So we added:

  • All 2026 treat trails, including the villain hosting each immersive trail

  • Candy-only treat trails, distinguished from the villain experiences

  • Traditional character meet-and-greet locations, with the characters currently appearing at each one

  • Rotating character areas, including rare characters, Marvel heroes and Cars Land characters

  • Villains Grove

  • PhotoPass locations

  • Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake Performance Corridor

  • The full-performance show-stop locations for Madame Leota

  • 8:05 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. performance directions

  • Rides with Halloween overlays

Character appearances can change, so consider the character icons a planning guide rather than a promise that Gaston will be standing exactly where you expect him to be when you arrive. Disney villains apparently do not respect spreadsheets.

Oogie Boogie Bash Villain Treat Trails

If you’re used to MNSSHP, one quick expectation reset: several Oogie Boogie treat trails are entertainment, not simply candy stops. Villains perform and interact with guests while the line keeps moving, so the character—not the Snickers—is really the reason you’re there.

Treat Trail Location

2026 Villain

Hollywood Backlot near Hollywood Lounge

Judge Doom

Hollywood Backlot near Monsters, Inc.

Hades

Hyperion Theater area

Ernesto de la Cruz

Disney Animation

Oogie Boogie

Disney Theater area

Dr. Doofenshmirtz

The Sanctum

Agatha Harkness

Grizzly Peak near Soarin’

Yzma & Maleficent

Pixar Pier Bandshell

Syndrome

On our map, each immersive trail is labeled with its corresponding character so you do not have to translate Disney’s generic treat-trail icon while wandering around the park. The remaining treat trails are candy-only, and we’ve marked those differently on the map so you can tell at a glance whether you’re heading toward an actual villain encounter or simply acquiring another alarming quantity of chocolate.

If you’re planning both coasts, our complete MNSSHP guide covers the Magic Kingdom version in much more detail.

Oogie Boogie Bash Character Locations: Who Meets Where?

Disney marks where character encounters are located—which is useful—but does not tell you which characters are actually at those locations. And at Oogie Boogie Bash, that little detail matters.

Here’s where the 2026 traditional and rotating character encounters are currently being reported:This was one of my biggest frustrations with the official map. Disney marks where character encounters are located—which is useful—but does not tell you which characters are actually at those locations.

So we did. We labeled the characters directly on our map rather than making you stare at a generic character symbol and wonder whether it represents Kingdom Hearts Mickey or someone you already met three hours ago.

Character Meet Location

2026 Characters

Paradise Gardens Park / World of Color Viewing Area

Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck & Clarabelle Cow as the Sanderson Sisters

Paradise Gardens Park near Golden Zephyr

Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck & Goofy in their Kingdom Hearts costumes

Hollywood Land / Backlot near Monsters, Inc.

Megara, Pain & Panic

Carthay Circle Fountain

Rotating rare characters, including Evil Queen, Dr. Facilier, Gaston, Anastasia & Drizella

Pixar Pier / Incredibles Park

Edna Mode & Mr. Incredible

Pixar Pier near Toy Story Midway Mania

Toy Story and rotating Pixar characters, including Woody, Bo Peep, Remy & Emile

Pixar Pier / Toy Story Boardwalk area

Ian & Barley from Onward

Avengers Campus

Rotating Marvel heroes, including Scarlet Witch, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Black Widow & Hawkeye

Cars Land – Cozy Cone area

Vampire Mater & Super Hero Lightning McQueen

Cars Land – Luigi’s / Route 66 area

Pirate Cruz Ramirez & Red in his Halloween costume

Hollywood Land

Cruella de Vil — roaming

We labeled those characters directly on our map rather than making you stare at a character symbol and wonder whether it represents Kingdom Hearts Mickey or someone you saw three hours ago.

A Note About Rotating Characters

Not every character location works like the Sanderson Sisters or Kingdom Hearts trio.

Areas such as Carthay Circle, Avengers Campus and Cars Land can feature rotating characters, and exact appearances may vary by party night. We’ve identified the characters currently being reported there, but I would still treat these as “look here” locations rather than guarantees.

And roaming characters are, well…roaming. Cruella did not consult me before making her evening plans.

Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake Route & Full-Performance Stops

Disney’s official map shows the Performance Corridor for Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party, but simply standing somewhere along that route does not necessarily mean you will see the entire choreographed performance. We felt like this was a miss piece that needed to be added.

The procession travels between the Little Mermaid/Paradise Park side of the park and the Guardians of the Galaxy/Avengers Campus side, passing through Hollywood Land, past Carthay Circle and along the Wine Country Trattoria/Sonoma Terrace area.

But there are three main full-performance zones, which we marked separately on our map:

★ Hollywood Land

Along Hollywood Boulevard, around the Award Wieners/Disney Animation area.

★ Sonoma Terrace / Wine Country Trattoria

The middle performance location—and also the area used for the reserved Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party viewing.

★ The Little Mermaid / Paradise Park

Along the Little Mermaid frontage near Paradise Park.

If you stand elsewhere along the Performance Corridor, you can still see Madame Leota and the procession pass. If seeing the complete choreographed show is important to you, aim for one of the marked ★ locations.

We also added arrows for the two 2026 performances:

8:05 p.m.: The Little Mermaid → Sonoma Terrace → Hollywood Land → Guardians area

10:15 p.m.: Guardians area → Hollywood Land → Sonoma Terrace → The Little Mermaid

Because apparently even the ghosts need traffic directions.

Villains Grove: Wait Until After Dark

We also marked Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, but this is one map location I would not rush toward when the party begins at 6:00.

Villains Grove is an atmospheric walk-through experience using lighting, projections, fog, sound and villain-inspired environments rather than live scare actors or traditional character meets. And darkness is doing quite a bit of the work.

It currently begins at 8:00 p.m., so let the sun disappear before making your way over there. This is one of those experiences where arriving later is not procrastination. It is strategy.

How We Plan to Use the Map During Oogie Boogie Bash

After researching this party, I am increasingly convinced that Oogie Boogie Bash may reward geographic planning more than a rigid minute-by-minute schedule.

Several priorities cluster together—particularly in Hollywood Land—so if Hades, Judge Doom and Dr. Doofenshmirtz are all nearby, it makes a whole lot more sense to tackle them while you are in that part of the park than to march across DCA because your planning spreadsheet says something else happens at 7:42.

Our basic plan is to choose a handful of true must-dos and use the map to work through whatever makes sense nearby.

In other words:

Watch the clock when something has a showtime. Watch the map for almost everything else.

We will let you know how brilliantly—or disastrously—that theory works after our own Oogie Boogie Bash.

This map helps you find your way through the party. For the rest of your park time, our Disneyland and DCA ride guide for Disney World regulars can help you choose what to ride before or after Oogie Boogie Bash.

A Few Things the Map Cannot Tell You

As much as I would love to create a map that magically predicts the perfect party route, Disney has not yet granted me that particular Imagineering power.

A few things can change from night to night:

  • Character appearances and rotations

  • Character and treat-trail waits

  • PhotoPass availability

  • Entertainment schedules

  • Operational changes due to weather or other circumstances

Always check the Disneyland app and your event guide during your party for the most current information.

Think of our map as a tool to help you understand where everything fits together so that when plans change—as Disney plans have a habit of doing—you can make a new decision without starting over.

Need the Full Oogie Boogie Bash Planning Guide?

This map is intentionally focused on where everything is.

If you are still figuring out what Oogie Boogie Bash actually includes, which experiences deserve your five party hours, how the 3:00–6:00 mix-in works, when to ride the Halloween overlays or whether this whole thing is worth the ticket price, we have a much deeper dive waiting for you.

We are approaching our first Oogie Boogie Bash as longtime Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party guests, so the guide walks through what feels familiar, what works completely differently and what we are prioritizing for our own night.

And after we actually survive five hours of villains, ghosts, candy and whatever nonsense Dr. Doofenshmirtz has planned, we’ll come back and tell you what worked.
