Walt Disney World is always evolving—refurbishing beloved attractions, debuting new experiences, and updating resort spaces to keep the magic fresh. But nobody wants to show up for their dream trip and find their favorite ride unexpectedly closed. 😱
This guide is your go-to resource for ride closures, hotel refurbishments, and reimagined experiences happening now and coming soon across Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, the resorts, and water parks.
We update this list weekly to help you plan smarter. Bookmark it, check back often, and keep that itinerary flexible!

Kali River Rapids - Closed for maintenance from October 2025 - December 2025
Harambe Market - Closed October 20, 2025 through early 2026 for refurbishment
DinoLand U.S.A. - All atractions and areas will be permanently closed on February 2, 2026 to make way for Tropical Americas area. - Opening TBA

Mickey's PhilharMagic: - November 1st through Late November 2025 for a routine refurbishment
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – Closed January 6, 2025 through 2026 for refurbishment
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin – Closed August 4, 2025 for reimagining; reopening in 2026
Walt Disney World Railroad: Frontierland Station - Closed for new construction. The WDW Railroad will still run back and forth between the Main Street U.S.A. Station and Fantasyland Station.
Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Square Riverboat - Permanently closed July 7, 2025 to make way for the new Piston Peak National Park, a Cars-themed land. Opening TBA

Vacation Fun - An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie - Closed from 10/20/25 though late 2025
All Areas of the Muppet Courtyard Including Mama Melrose, PizzaRizzo, and Muppet*Vision 3D are permanently closed to make way for the new Monstropolis area. Opening TBA.
Disney Jr. Play and Dance – Permanently closed
Star Wars Launch Bay - Permanently closed to make way for the new Magic of Disney Animation attraction - opening sometime in 2026. Read more here.

Disney Junior Play 'n' Dine Character Breakfast - Ended on October 11, 2025. Hollywood & Vine will now feature Minnie’s Seasonal Dine for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Maestro Mickey’s Gift Shop will being undergoing a refurbishment From August 4 through mid-October 2025,

Surfboard Bay Pool will be undergoing a refurbishment from January 2026 until late April 2026
All-Star Movies Resort
Fantasia kiddie pool and water play area - reopen
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Kidani Village Guest Rooms are undergoing furbishment - from Fall 2025 - May 2026
Kidani Village Samawati Springs Pool Slide is currently closed for a brief routine maintenance
Jambo House Guest Rooms will be undergoing refurbishment - from May 2026 - January 2027
Beach Club Resort
Has ongoing exterior maintenance June - June 2027
BoardWalk Inn
Luna Park Pool and Play Area January 11, 2027 - April 2027 will be closed for routine maintenance
Leaping Horse Libations January 11, 2027 - April 2027 will be closed for routine maintenance
Contemporary Resort
Bay Lake Tower and Convention Center - Refurbishments ongoing through July of 2026
Bay Cove Pool will be closed for refurbishments from January 26, 2026 through May 2026
Coronado Spings
Cabanas Pool Closed for brief refurbishment: August 17 through August 24, 2025
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The Perch Lobby Bar - Grand opening November 10, 2025
Currently undergoing refurbishment to the lobby and convention center projected completion in Early 2026, but the Ginger Bread House will not be present in 2025
Polynesian Village Resort
Exterior and road refurbishment through 2026
Pop Century Resort
Room and lobby refurbishments through mid-February 2026. Construction may be visible during daytime hours. Pools remain open.
Port Orleans – Riverside (Magnolia Bend)
Renovations from April 2025 through January 2026
Wilderness Lodge (including Copper Creek Villas)
Exterior renovations through sometime in 2027
Villa renovations through sometime in the Fall 2025
Yacht Club
Undergoing routine exterior maintenance through late 2026
Porte cochere should reopen in late November of 2025

Disney Skyliner - Will be closed for a brief refurbishment January 25 - January 31 2026. Disney Bus Transportation will be running instead for all Skyliner resort hotels effected by the closure:
