🩵 Bluey Update! As of June 2, 2026, Disney will discontinue the Virtual Queue for Bluey’s Wild World. The experience will now use a regular standby line, so there’s no need to wake up for a 7:00 AM queue drop or stress over the 10:00 AM release.

Disney just dropped a HUGE update about Bluey’s Wild World at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and it is shaping up to be much bigger than a simple character meet-and-greet. Between the Virtual Queue, interactive games, Australian animals, themed snacks, merchandise, and the complete transformation of Conservation Station, this feels more like a full limited-area experience than a typical summer offering.

Bluey’s Wild World officially opens May 26, 2026 as part of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER at Walt Disney World, but unlike many seasonal offerings, Disney has already confirmed this experience will continue beyond the summer.

Bluey’s Wild World is Taking Over Conservation Station

The biggest thing families need to understand is this: Bluey’s Wild World is not located in the main part of Animal Kingdom.

The experience is taking over Conservation Station (formerly Rafiki’s Planet Watch), which means guests will need to ride the Wildlife Express Train to reach it.

Disney also confirmed that the Virtual Queue will control access not only to Bluey’s Wild World itself, but also:

  • the Wildlife Express Train

  • Jumping Junction

  • Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station

during the initial opening period.

That is honestly a pretty significant operational decision and tells us Disney expects extremely high demand right out of the gate.

Yes — Bluey Will Use a Virtual Queue

Disney confirmed there will be:

  • a 7:00 AM Virtual Queue drop

  • a 10:00 AM Virtual Queue drop

  • NO standby queue initially

Guests can join through the My Disney Experience app.

The 7 AM queue does not require guests to already be inside Animal Kingdom, but the 10 AM drop does require park entry.

This appears to be similary to the former Virtual Queue systems Disney used for Tron, Tiana's Bayou Adventrue, or Guardian's of the Galaxy. Need help on figuring out how to score a Bluey's Wild Word Virtual Queue? We break down the steps and provide of most successful tips in our Bluey Virtual Queue guide.

🧚‍♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: If experiencing Bluey is important for your trip, be logged into My Disney Experience before 7:00 AM with the Virtual Queue page already open. Boarding groups are likely to disappear very quickly during opening weeks.

While Bluey’s Wild World currently uses a Virtual Queue instead of Lightning Lane, understanding how Disney’s newer skip-the-line systems work can still make a huge difference when planning your park day. Our Lightning Lane Multi Pass & Single Pass Guide breaks down how reservations work, which attractions use each system, and how to build a smoother Walt Disney World strategy overall.

What Will Bluey’s Wild World Actually Be Like?

Conservation Station home to Bluey"s Wild World in Disney's Animal Kingdom

That's the big question on the minds of parents and their Bluey fanDisney describes the experience as an interactive play space inspired by Bluey and Bingo’s favorite games and activities.

Some of the activities Disney specifically mentioned include:

  • Keepy Uppy

  • Magic Asparagus

  • dancing and music

  • interactive animal-themed games

  • bubbles as part of the finale experience

Honestly, this sounds much closer to a fully interactive kids experience than a traditional meet-and-greet line.

And if your kids are Bluey fans? They are probably going to lose their minds over this.

Australian Animals Are Coming Too

One of the coolest details from the update is that Disney is also adding Australian animals to the area.

Jumping Junction will feature animals from Bluey’s home country, including:

  • kangaroos

  • wallabies

which honestly feels like a really smart fit for Animal Kingdom specifically.

This helps the whole experience feel more tied into the park’s conservation and animal education themes instead of simply dropping a popular IP into the park.

There Will Be Bluey Merchandise

Disney also previewed an entire Bluey merchandise collection coming to Animal Kingdom. Items will reportedly be available at:

  • Island Mercantile

  • Conservation Station

with apparel, plushes, accessories, and themed souvenirs. In our opinion the Bluey and Bingo headbands are adorbs.

Bluey Snacks and PhotoPass Magic Shots Are Also Coming

Disney confirmed:

  • Bluey-inspired snacks

  • themed beverages

  • PhotoPass Magic Shots

will also be part of the experience.

Disney hasn’t released the full foodie guide yet, but based on how heavily they’re leaning into this launch, we would honestly be shocked if this didn’t end up with some very Instagrammable treats.

Our Biggest Takeaway

This is much bigger than a temporary “summer entertainment offering.”

The fact Disney:

  • built a Virtual Queue around it

  • is controlling train access

  • transformed Conservation Station

  • added merchandise

  • added themed food

  • added animal exhibits

  • confirmed it will remain beyond summer

…really suggests Disney sees Bluey as a major long-term family draw right now. With all of the recent attraction closures, plus their replacements being several years in the future, Animal Kingdom really needs something extra to bring vistors to the park.

Bluey is wildly popular with families, and this feels like one of the smartest ways Disney could have integrated the brand into Animal Kingdom while still keeping the experience connected to animals, exploration, and play.

We’ll continue updating this post as Disney releases more details about:

  • Virtual Queue operations

  • merchandise

  • food offerings

  • wait times

  • and what the experience is actually like once it opens on May 26.
