Adults can wear costumes at MNSSHP! Disney’s usual costume rules are relaxed:
No masks for adults
Capes or skirts must not drag on the ground
🧚 Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Florida = hot and humid, even in October. Think light, breathable, and rain-friendly.
🎭 Character Meet & Greets
Meeting rare and costumed characters is one of the biggest highlights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Many start greeting earlier than the official 7 PM party time, so plan ahead if you want to catch your favorites. Meet and Greets start at 7pm unless otherwise noted.

😈 Disney Villains at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025
One of the biggest draws of the MNSSHP is the chance to see Disney Villains take over Magic Kingdom. While not every villain has a formal meet-and-greet, you’ll spot them roaming, greeting, or starring in parades and shows throughout the night. Cruella de Vil, Maleficent and the Evil Queen were some of our favorite last year.

Blast off into complete darkness as Space Mountain turns off the lights for MNSSHP. The ride features a thrilling new soundtrack with eerie music and sound effects that make the already intense roller coaster feel even more out-of-this-world.
🧚 Pixie Dust Pro Tip: If you are a thrill ride aficionado, Space Mountain in the dark is out of this world!

Take a wild ride on the Mad Tea Party, where flashing lights, fog effects, and Halloween-themed music give this whimsical spinner a delightfully spooky twist after dark. Each teacup seems to have its own mood!

At Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, the monsters are dressed in their Halloween best and ready to entertain with themed jokes and spooky puns. It's a lighter, laugh-filled break from the party chaos—great for younger partygoers.
👻 Haunted Mansion – Ghastly Guest Stars
The Haunted Mansion gets extra eerie during MNSSHP, with enhanced effects and a live appearance by Madame Carlotta, who interacts with guests waiting in the queue. The line area also comes alive with unique features like a bubbling fountain, a glowing mausoleum, and the iconic groundskeeper scene—perfect for spooky photo ops.
🧚 Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Haunted Mansion is one of the most popular party attractions. Ride early or during parades to avoid the longest wait times.

Trick-or-Treating in the Park
Free candy? One of the sweetest parts of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? The unlimited trick-or-treating! You’ll get a free reusable treat bag when you enter, and you can hit as many candy trails as your sweet tooth desires.

🩵 Allergy-Friendly Trick-or-Treating

Guests with food allergies don’t have to miss out on the fun! Instead of collecting candy at each stop, you can pick up a teal treat bag from any Cast Member at a treat trail location. This signals that you're participating in the allergy-friendly experience.
Once you’ve explored the party, head to one of these locations to trade in your teal tokens for allergy-safe treats:
Liberty Square Ticket Office (closes promptly at midnight)

Tips to Make the Most of Your Night
🎯 Set Your Priorities for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Even with lighter crowds, it’s impossible to experience everything in one night—so decide early what matters most to your group. Are you there for the exclusive Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, the Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, the rare character meet and greets, or the ride overlays like Space Mountain in total darkness? Make a list of your must-dos, and plan the rest of your MNSSHP night around those Halloween highlights.
🧚 Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Prioritizing 3–5 key experiences will help you avoid FOMO and make the most of your time.
🧙♀️ To Costume or Not to Costume?
Wondering if you can dress up at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party? Good news—Disney’s usual costume rules for adults are relaxed during the event. You can wear a costume, but there are a few important restrictions:
No masks for guests age 14 and older
No dragging capes or floor-length skirts/dresses
No weapons or anything that could be mistaken as real
Many partygoers go all out with themed costumes, while others choose something more low-key. We love an excuse to Disney Bound, especially as villains—but let’s be honest: it’s still Florida. 🥵 Fall here is hot, humid, and often rainy, especially in August and September. A full costume might look magical, but it may not feel so magical two hours in.
🧚 Pixie Dust Pro Tip: For early season party nights, we usually skip heavy costumes in favor of festive Halloween T-shirts and lightweight bottoms. It’s comfier, weather-proof, and still totally spirited. Or go for lightweight clothes already in your wardrobe to throw together that perfect villains adjacent look.

Want more outfit inspiration? Check out our full Disney Bounding FAQ for creative, park-friendly looks that work all year round.
Get Wristband Early: You’ll need it to stay in the park once the party starts.
Rope Drop the Characters: Some characters like Jack & Sally and Pooh & Friends start meeting before 7 PM—get in line early.
Use Parade/Fireworks Times: Character lines and rides are shorter when crowds gather for these shows.
