Virtual Queues ending at Walt Disney World on February 25, 2025
Updated: Feb 19

Starting February 25, 2025 Walt Disney World is ending virtual queues on two fan favorites. Both Tiana's Bayou Adventure in the Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in Epcot are at long last converting to standby. Tiana's Bayou adventure will continue to be offered an a Tier One Lighning Lane Mulit Pass choice, while Guardians of the Galaxy will still be available as a Lightning Lane Single Pass. Rumor has it that Guardians of the Galaxy will be added to Epcot Early Entry, giving resort guests a head start on riding it.
Disney went on to state that they may use Vitual Queues in the future for new attractions or experiences. You can read their entire statement below:
Beginning Feb. 25, guests can experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT through a standby queue or as a Lightning Lane experience. We hope guests will enjoy the added choice and flexibility the standby queue offers.
While no longer available after Feb. 25, virtual queues continue to be helpful with the launch of popular attractions and the debut of new experiences and offerings, so we may use them again from time to time for select experiences in the future.
So what do you think? Are you excited about this change? We think it gives guest more control over how they spend their days and what attractions are available for them on any given day. But it will mean rethinking our rope drop strategies. Will we for sure be posting updates soon.
