🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Character meet and greets change throughout the day, so check the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date times before you hop in line.

Types of Character Meet and Greets at Magic Kingdom
Main Characters:
A number of iconic Disney characters appear throughout the day at designated, permanent meet-and-greet locations. These often include detailed backdrops, indoor queues, and PhotoPass photographers. You’ll find their current wait times listed in the My Disney Experience app under Attractions or Entertainment.
Intermittent Characters:
These characters appear at set locations, but their schedule may vary. Some pop up regularly, while others are used to enhance entertainment during busy times. Availability can change day-to-day, so check the My Disney Experience app for real-time updates on which characters are meeting and when.
Pop-up Character Sightings:
These spontaneous character appearances don’t follow a strict schedule and usually happen in open areas around the park. While these characters won’t stop for autographs or posed photos, they often wave, interact from a distance, or engage with guests in creative ways. They're a fun surprise as you explore!.
Character Dinning:
Table service restaurants like Cinderella’s Royal Table or The Crystal Palace offer character dining experiences where beloved Disney characters visit each table. They pause to chat, sign autographs, and pose for photos—making it a more relaxed and air-conditioned way to meet characters. Keep in mind, these meals tend to be pricey and Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) are strongly recommended.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Character dining can be a game-changer for young kids—or guests with sensory sensitivities—who may not feel comfortable in long lines or crowded settings.
Tips for meeting the characters:
Character meet and greets tend to be very popular. For characters that have set meeting times, we recommend getting in line to meet them at least 15 minutes before they are scheduled to appear. Since these characters are only out for a set period of time, the line gets cut off once a specified number of guests has been reached.
Many meet and greets have photopass photographers on hand to capture the moment. We are big proponents of getting memory maker (more on that here) but if you don’t have it you can also ask the photographer to take a photo with your camera.
We recommend becoming familiar with your My Disney Experience (MDE) App, where you will be able to find available characters and times, under Characters, for when you are in the park.
Almost all the characters who do actual meet and greets are happy to sign their autograph, which can be a fun souvenir and memento from your trip. Some like Buzz Lightyear have stamp instead of signing by hand. You can buy autograph books around the park, make your own, or get creative and have characters sign an object. We’ve seen people carry around the matte from a photo frame, and then they can frame their Disney photo with the autographs, or a jacket that they ask characters to sign the back of. If you do a little thinking outside the box you can have a unique and fun souvenir to bring home.
Meet Your Favorite Characters at Magic Kingdom: Who You’ll Find and Where
Main Characters

🧜♀️ Ariel at Her Grotto (Fantasyland)
Head to the back of Fantasyland near Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid to find Ariel in her Grotto. This indoor meet and greet usually opens mid to late morning and runs through the evening. While there’s no Lightning Lane access, the line typically stays under 30 minutes.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Ariel’s Grotto is beautifully themed, making it a great photo op even while you wait—especially for Little Mermaid fans!
👑 Cinderella and a Visiting Princess (Princess Fairytale Hall)
Just past Sir Mickey’s in Fantasyland, Princess Fairytale Hall offers two royal meet-and-greet queues. One features Cinderella alongside another Disney Princess who rotates regularly. You might meet favorites like Elena, Aurora, or Snow White depending on the day.
🌿 Princess Tiana and a Visiting Princess (Princess Fairytale Hall)
The second queue at Princess Fairytale Hall is where you’ll find Tiana greeting guests, often accompanied by another rotating princess. We've frequently seen Rapunzel in this spot, but appearances can vary.
🎪 Minnie Mouse & Daisy Duck (Pete’s Silly Sideshow – Storybook Circus)
Behind the Big Top Souvenirs tent in Storybook Circus, you’ll find Pete’s Silly Sideshow, where Minnie and Daisy greet guests from a shared queue. Minnie appears as Minnie Magnifique, a glamorous circus star, while Daisy dazzles as Madame Daisy Fortuna, a fortune teller. The queue typically opens mid-morning, and there is no Lightning Lane offered. Wait times are usually around 30 minutes. A PhotoPass automated camera captures your moment!
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Because this meet and greet is fully indoors, it’s a perfect stop when you need a break from the Florida sun (or a sudden downpour).

🎪 Donald Duck & Goofy (Pete’s Silly Sideshow – Storybook Circus)
In the same location at Pete’s Silly Sideshow, you can meet Donald and Goofy in themed circus roles. Donald plays the part of The Astounding Donaldo, a charming snake charmer, and Goofy shows off as The Great Goofini, a daredevil stunt pilot. These characters also share a single line, and PhotoPass is automated here as well. While Lightning Lane is not available, the queue is usually manageable, with average waits around 30 minutes.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Want to meet all four characters? The two lines are separate—so plan to loop around if you want the full set of silly sideshow stars!

🎩 Mickey Mouse (Town Square Theater – Main Street, U.S.A.)
Just inside Magic Kingdom at the start of Main Street, U.S.A., you’ll find Town Square Theater—home to a special meet and greet with Mickey Mouse himself! The entrance is to the left of the Town Square if you're facing Cinderella Castle. This indoor location features a charming backdrop and often includes PhotoPass photography.
Lines for Mickey can be longest in the morning and after the evening fireworks, so try visiting in the mid-afternoonwhen crowds tend to dip.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Don’t skip this meet and greet just because it’s near the entrance—looping back up Main Street in the afternoon can save you serious time and give you a memorable photo with the boss of the park.

📖 Belle (Enchanted Tales with Belle – Fantasyland)
Tucked inside Maurice’s Cottage in Fantasyland, Enchanted Tales with Belle is a unique, interactive storytelling attraction—not a traditional meet and greet. During the show, guests help reenact the story of Beauty and the Beast, and select participants are invited to join Belle onstage. After the performance, everyone has the chance to snap a quick photo with Belle.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: If meeting Belle is a must-do, this experience is worth it—but it does take more time than a typical character line. Arrive early for the next showtime to avoid a long wait
Intermittent Characters
Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too
Next to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh attraction, you’ll find The Thotful Spot, where Winnie the Pooh and Tigger greet guests together in a charming outdoor setting. They typically begin appearing mid-afternoon and continue through early evening.
Lines here can grow quickly, so it’s smart to check the My Disney Experience app or Times Guide and hop in line a few minutes before their scheduled appearance.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: This is one of the few places to meet both Pooh and Tigger together—perfect for little ones who love hugs and bounce-worthy photo ops!

🌸 Mirabel (Fairytale Garden – Fantasyland)
You can meet Mirabel from Encanto in the beautifully reimagined Fairytale Garden, located near Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café in Fantasyland. She loves chatting with guests about her magical family and celebrating what makes each person unique.
Mirabel appears at scheduled times only, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for her daily schedule. This is a very popular meet and greet, so it’s best to join the queue before her posted appearance time.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Want to avoid the longest lines? Try visiting during the first or last appearance window of the day, when crowds are usually lighter.
🧚♂️ Peter Pan (Fantasyland – Near Peter Pan’s Flight)
Peter Pan officially greets guests near Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland, but true to form, he’s known to pop up unexpectedly around the park. If you catch him, you're in for a lively and spontaneous interaction—just don’t count on him keeping a strict schedule.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Peter is one of the most playful characters in the park, often joking and posing creatively. Have your camera ready—these surprise moments make for unforgettable photos!

🌴 Jasmine & Aladdin (Agrabah Bazaar – Adventureland)
In Adventureland, near the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, you’ll find the Agrabah Bazaar—a themed area where Aladdin and Jasmine often greet guests together. This meet and greet is outdoors and usually follows a posted schedule, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for exact times.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: This location offers a richly themed backdrop perfect for photo ops—bonus points if you catch them just after riding the Magic Carpets for a little extra immersion!
🏴☠️ Captain Jack Sparrow (Adventureland Stage – Adventureland)
You can find Captain Jack Sparrow holding court across from Pirates of the Caribbean at the Adventureland Stage. His appearances are scheduled and can be limited, so check the My Disney Experience app for up-to-date showtimes and availability.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Captain Jack is all about improv—expect laughs, swagger, and possibly a pirate joke or two. He’s not always available for posed photos, but the interaction is worth the stop!

💪 Gaston (Near Gaston’s Tavern – Fantasyland)
Just outside Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland, you’ll find a small courtyard where Gaston occasionally struts out to meet guests. His appearances are unscheduled but frequent, and he’s always ready to impress his “adoring fans” with tales of his greatness.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Gaston is one of the most animated characters to meet—try complimenting him on his muscles or hair for a hilarious interaction you won’t forget!
🍎 Snow White (Town Square Theater Porch – Main Street, U.S.A.)
You may spot Snow White making occasional appearances at the Town Square Theater Porch, located near the entrance of Main Street, U.S.A. This meet and greet isn’t always listed in advance, so her appearances can be a delightful surprise.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Arriving early? This is a great area to check just after park opening, as Snow White sometimes greets guests here before heading off to her royal duties elsewhere.
Pop-up Character Sightings

🎀 Anastasia & Drizella (Behind Cinderella Castle – Fantasyland)
Cinderella’s stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella, don’t have a formal meet-and-greet queue—but you’ll often find them near the Cinderella Fountain, behind Cinderella Castle, especially in the afternoon. They’re known for heckling each other and chatting with guests, creating some of the funniest and most unscripted interactions in the park.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: These encounters aren’t listed in the app, so if you see them out, don’t wait—run over for a photo and a laugh! They’re some of the most memorable character interactions in Magic Kingdom.
🌰 Chip & Dale (Storybook Circus – Fantasyland)
Over in Storybook Circus, you might spot Chip and Dale near the short wall that wraps around Big Top Souvenirs. This is a more casual, pop-up style interaction—they don’t have a formal line or posted schedule, but they love goofing around with passing guests when they’re out.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: If you see them, approach kindly and have your camera ready—they’re always up for silly poses and playful mischief!
🐻 Country Bear Jamboree Bears (Frontierland)
Keep your eyes on the balcony above the Country Bear Jamboree attraction in Frontierland, where you might catch Big Al, Liver Lips McGrowl, or Wendell waving to guests. These rare character sightings are especially common while the Country Bear Jamboree is closed for refurbishment. Occasionally, if crowds are low, they may come down to mingle along the walkway.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: These bears don’t meet at ground level often, so if you see them down from the balcony—don’t miss your chance! It’s a fun nod to Disney history and a photo op most guests don’t expect.

🚀 Stitch or Buzz Lightyear (Rocket Tower Plaza Stage – Tomorrowland)
In Tomorrowland, head toward the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage, located between Carousel of Progress and Space Mountain, and you may spot Stitch or Buzz Lightyear greeting guests. These appearances are intermittent and often unannounced, but when they're out, you'll usually find them mingling near the stage or along the surrounding walkway.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: If you're hoping to meet one of these Tomorrowland favorites, swing by the stage area when crowds are light—especially mid-morning or early afternoon. And check the My Disney Experience app just in case a scheduled time pops up!
Character Dining

🏰 Cinderella’s Royal Table (Fantasyland – Character Dining)
It’s all about the royalty at Cinderella’s Royal Table, the ultimate Disney Princess dining experience inside Cinderella Castle. Guests begin their visit in the castle’s grand lobby, where they meet Cinderella for a photo. Upstairs in the dining hall, you’ll be visited by Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora, and Snow White, who make their way from table to table for photos and autographs.
You’ll receive a souvenir autograph card featuring all of the princesses’ signatures. Characters appear during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the experience includes a prix fixe menu.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: This is one of the hardest reservations to snag in all of Walt Disney World! Set a reminder to book exactly 60 days out at 6:00 AM EST for the best chance at securing your preferred time.

🌹 Be Our Guest Restaurant (Fantasyland – Signature Dining with Beast Sightings)
While not a traditional character dining experience, Be Our Guest Restaurant offers something special: the Beast himself makes occasional appearances, roaming through the themed dining rooms to wave at guests. After your meal, there is sometimes an opportunity to meet the Beast for a quick photo, though this is not guaranteed and may vary by day.
This signature prix fixe meal is one of the most sought-after dining reservations in Magic Kingdom, featuring French-inspired cuisine served in the grand Ballroom, West Wing, or Castle Gallery.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Don’t count on a guaranteed character meet here—if meeting the Beast is a must, ask a Cast Member upon arrival whether photos are being offered after the meal.
🌸 The Crystal Palace (Main Street, U.S.A. – Character Dining)
At The Crystal Palace, it’s all about friendship and fun with Winnie the Pooh and his Hundred Acre Wood pals. During this all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet-style meal, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet visit each table for hugs, autographs, and photos. Throughout the meal, they also lead a character parade and sing-along, inviting young guests to join in the magic.
Characters rotate through the dining room at a relaxed pace, so be sure to plan for at least 90 minutes to enjoy the full experience.
🧚♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Book a pre-park opening breakfast reservation for early access to Main Street and near-empty castle photos—plus a full belly before the rides begin!
