Christmas at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World
Christmas Time at Disney Hollywood Studios

Christmas at Disney is one of our absolute favorite times of the year — the kind of season we start counting down to the second that last Mickey pumpkin gets packed away.

There’s just something about the parks in December: the nostalgic music floating down Main Street, the shimmering decorations in every corner of Hollywood Studios, the surprise character moments, and those late-night parties where everything feels a little extra magical. It’s the warm-and-sparkly version of Disney we look forward to every single year.

And this year, Hollywood Studios has leveled up the holiday cheer in the best possible way.

Planning a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Our Hollywood Studios Planning Hub has you covered with everything from attractions and characters to dining tips, must-dos, and more.

Tucked inside Walt Disney Presents, Disney has introduced a brand-new Holiday Movie Props Exhibit — a festive walk-through featuring real props and costumes from classic Christmas films like The Santa Clause, The Muppets Christmas Carol, Noelle, and Babes in Toyland. It’s nostalgic, cozy, and the perfect holiday pause in the middle of a park day.

But that’s not all.

For the 2025 holiday season, guests can also meet Santa Claus inside Walt Disney Presents, making this little corner of Animation Courtyard a must-do stop whether you’re visiting during regular park hours or heading to Jollywood Nights.

It’s a delightful new “holiday hub” at Hollywood Studios — and we can’t wait to show you why it deserves a spot on your holiday itinerary.

🎥 What You’ll Find Inside the Exhibit

Before we even get to the displays: we have to admit we’re the kind of family who loves nothing more than cozying up with a festive holiday drink and binge-watching our seasonal favorites. The Muppet Christmas Carol has been in our yearly rotation since Lyn and Kim were tiny — so seeing anything from that film in person hits straight in the nostalgia.

Stepping into the Holiday Movie Props Exhibit feels a little like walking through your childhood Christmas-movie marathon — warm, familiar, and filled with those tiny details you forgot you loved.

🎅 The Santa Clause (1994)

This is the section that hits you first in a burst of North Pole nostalgia. Depending on the setup when you visit, you might spot:

  • Costume pieces worn by Scott Calvin, instantly recognizable from the film

  • Props and set décor that bring back those early-’90s holiday vibes

  • Display cards with small behind-the-scenes details

There’s a quiet thrill in seeing these iconic pieces up close — the kind that makes you immediately want to rewatch the original movie.

🐸 The Muppets Christmas Carol (1992)

Farther along the walkway, the energy shifts into full Dickensian whimsy.

Expect to find:

  • Character props associated with beloved Muppet performers

  • Artifacts and set pieces capturing the rustic, cozy, Victorian aesthetic

  • Costuming details or accessories tied to fan-favorite characters

This section has a charm all its own — it feels like stepping into the movie’s London streets for a moment.

🎁 Noelle (2019)

This corner of the exhibit brings in a more modern take on Christmas storytelling. Here you may find:

  • Props connected to Anna Kendrick’s Noelle, with their bright colors and contemporary North Pole styling

  • Costuming elements with that polished, Disney+ holiday sparkle

It’s a fun contrast to the older films included in the display and helps round out the mix of eras.

🎠 Babes in Toyland

For the true Disney history buffs, this is a treat.Though it’s not as widely known among today’s younger guests, this vintage holiday film adds a beautifully nostalgic touch to the lineup.

You may see:

  • Props or costume accessories inspired by the original production

  • Display elements that nod to the toy-shop aesthetic of the classic story

It’s a quiet reminder of how deep Disney’s holiday roots go — all the way back to the early days of studio history.

✨ A Note About the Collection

While Disney hasn’t published a full official list of every prop and costume on display, the exhibit is designed to rotate and evolve slightly throughout the season. We’ll continue updating this guide as more items are confirmed and as new pieces appear.

If you’re visiting early in the holiday season, this is a great place to take your time — every display case holds a little surprise, and the atmosphere is calm, cozy, and wonderfully nostalgic.

🎬 Bonus: Holiday Animated Short Film Screenings

Alongside the props, guests can enjoy a charming screening of classic Disney holiday short films — the kind you may remember watching on VHS as a kid during the countdown to Christmas.

Shorts currently expected to rotate include:

  • Pluto’s Christmas Tree

  • On Ice

  • The Art of Skiing

These screen inside the same area as the display, making it a relaxing place to slow down for a few minutes in the middle of a busy park day.

🎅  Santa Claus (and Santa Duffy!) Inside Walt Disney Presents

One more reason we’re obsessed with this new little holiday hub at Hollywood Studios? You can meet Santa inside Walt Disney Presents — but who you meet depends entirely on when you visit.

During regular park hours, you’ll find classic Santa Claus greeting guests inside the building, surrounded by a warm, vintage-inspired holiday set that pairs perfectly with the new Holiday Movie Props Exhibit just steps away.

But on Disney’s Jollywood Nights party evenings, the experience gets an adorable upgrade: Santa Duffy takes over the spot exclusively for the event.

If you’re newer to the Duffy fandom, here’s the quick scoop: Duffy the Disney Bear is a wildly beloved character who originally rose to fame at Tokyo DisneySea. He’s known for his impossibly cute seasonal outfits, a whole circle of “Duffy & Friends” characters, and a devoted global fanbase that treats his meet-and-greets like must-do attractions. Seeing him in a Santa suit? Instant holiday serotonin.

And if you’re heading to the party, our Jollywood Nights Map + Cheat Sheet will show you every rare character meeting at DJN — and exactly where to find them.

Santa Duffy meets inside the same building as the Holiday Movie Props Exhibit, making it an easy - and incredibly festive - two-stop combo during Jollywood Nights.

But a word of warning: Santa Duffy is hugely popular. His line at Jollywood Nights can rival Jack and Sally at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, regularly reaching 90 minutes to 2 hours on early party nights. If meeting him is on your must-do list, you’ll want to head straight to Walt Disney Presents as early as the party allows.

🧚‍♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Visit Santa Duffy in the first hour of Jollywood Nights. His line jumps fast after the event officially begins, and wait times stay high for most of the night. Snap your photos early, then stroll right into the Holiday Movie Props Exhibit for a calm, cozy break afterward.

It’s easily one of the sweetest character additions to the party this year — and the perfect pairing with the nostalgic holiday exhibit right next door.

📍 Where to Find the Display

The exhibit is located inside Walt Disney Presents, toward the end of the walkthrough gallery near the Walt Disney Theater.

🕒 Dates: Opens November 14, 2025

Disney has not yet announced a closing date.

🧚‍♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tips

🧚‍♀️ Visit earlier in the day if possible. Crowds gather mid-afternoon as guests look for indoor breaks.

🧚‍♀️ Allow 10–15 minutes to explore the displays, take photos, and watch at least one holiday short. This is an easy fit between Lightning Lane return times.

🧚‍♀️ Don’t skip the costumes — the details on the Muppets and Santa Clause pieces are so much more intricate up close.

🌟 Why This Exhibit Is Worth Your Time

There’s something wonderfully old-fashioned about this little corner of holiday magic. In a season full of big shows, dazzling fireworks, and high-energy parties, the Holiday Movie Props Exhibit is the kind of experience Disney hasn’t offered in years — warm, nostalgic, a little sentimental, and completely pressure-free. No queue. No reservation. No extra ticket. Just storytelling, memories, and the quiet thrill of seeing pieces of your favorite Christmas movies up close.

It’s the perfect pause-button moment in the middle of a Hollywood Studios day — and honestly, we can’t wait to step inside ourselves when we visit in early December. We’re already picturing that cozy mix of film history, soft lighting, and holiday music drifting in. Pure Christmas-time bliss.
