We’ve been reading on multiple websites of Disney bloggers that there is a theoretical work around for International guests who would like to buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass before they arrive in the United States.  Since we have a number of International readers who visit our site we thought we would detail it here. As we live in the United States we do not have a way to verify if this actually works.

Step 1 - Hard close the My Disney Experience app

Step 2 - Turn off location services in your phone.

Step 3 - Relaunch the My Disney Experience app - make sure it goes through a complete reload and displays the splash screen.

Step 4 - Go into the account settings in the My Disney Experience app and set your country to the United States.  This is the “Country/Region of Residence” found below birthdate.

Step 5 - Navigate over to your home screen and click the “Purchase” button for Lightning Lanes.  If everything has worked correctly you should now be able to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Passes and Lightning Lane Single Passes - assuming you have tickets linked to your MDE app.

Again, we have no idea if this actually works, but we have seen it on multiple reputable sources.

We also have seen that Canadian guests should be able to use the My Disney Experience app to purchase LLMP and LLSP without needing to use this work around, the same way they can book Advance Dining Reservations.

We hope this is helpful.  Let us know if it works, or if it is a bust!
