If it's your first visit, Disney's Hollywood Studios can feel surprisingly confusing to navigate. The park is divided into several themed lands connected by winding pathways, making it easy to miss attractions, dining, or character experiences if you don't know the layout. Let's walk through the park, guided by maps of each area, so you'll know exactly where everything is before you arrive.

Hollywood Boulevard (Front of Park)

As you enter Hollywood Studios you will find yourself on Hollywood Boulevard. The whole front area of the park captures that feel of old world Hollywood, when classic movies were made and anyone could be the next big star. One of the most popular attractions in the park is located here, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in the Chinese Theater.

Shopping options are located on either side of the street as you make your way down to the Chinese Theater, as well as a couple dining options. Here you will find The Trolley Car Cafe, where you will find the Starbucks location in Hollywood Studios, and The Hollywood Brown Derby, which is a signature dining location.

Echo Lake Area

As you leave Hollywood Boulevard and continue left, you'll arrive at Echo Lake. Here you will find dining options ranging from sit down to quick service with an indoor seating area to grab and go. We heartily recommend 50’s Prime Time Cafe, but be ready to be heckled by your servers while gobbling up classic comfort foods.

The Echo Lake area is also where two of the big shows in Hollywood Studios are located. This includes Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Show Spectacular, which is filled with lots of fun pyrotechnics and fake fight scenes, and the Frozen Sing-Along show, which is super funny as well as a joy to sing along with. The original Star Wars attraction, Star Tours - The Adventure Continues, can also be found here.

Commissary Lane & Grand Avenue

Commissary Land & Grand Ave. Map, Disney Hollywood Studios May 2026

Walking around Echo Lake you will find Commissary Lane which boasts a quick service restaurant, Commissary Cafe, and a table service dining location, the popular Sci-Fi Dine-in Theatre. Sorcerer Mickey & Minnie in Hollywood Glam have their dedicated Hollywood Studios meet & greet location on Commissary Lane as well. It also is a great way to cut through from the Chinese Theatre to Grand Avenue and then on to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Around corner Commissary Lane you will find Grand Avenue. This is currently an area in flux, waiting for the new Monsters, Inc. themed land Monstropolis to be built. In the mean time character meet & greets are the name of the game, with Goofy & Max plus Rapunzel and Mulan appearing through out the day.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Continue past Grand Avenue and you'll have finally made it to the main event: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Join Rey and her resistance friends as they take on the First Order. Galaxy’s Edge is a phenomenally themed area that will transport you to a galaxy far far away. Here you will find unique food, exclusive merchandise, Star Wars characters wandering around interacting with guests, and some incredible attractions.

One of the coolest attractions to open at Walt Disney World recently is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This is a multipart ride that is as immersive as it gets, taking guests inside the belly of the beast and then on a wild ride to escape the clutches of the First Order. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run may not be quite as jaw-dropping as Rise of the Resistance, but it’s still incredibly cool. Guests actually get to fly the Millennium Falcon as part of an interactive mission, working together as pilots, gunners, and engineers. With new adventures featuring Grogu and The Mandalorian, it's one of the few attractions where your actions directly impact the experience.

🧚‍♀️ Pixie Dust Pro Tip: Planning to use Lightning Lane? Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the hottest Lightning Lane Single Passes at Walt Disney World. Our Lightning Lane Multi Pass & Single Pass FAQ helps you to learn how it works and what rides are eligible at Hollywood Studios.

Toy Story Land & Pixar Place

If you didn’t come for the Jedi mind tricks you clearly came because there is a snake in your boot (figuratively we hope). As you exit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you'll find Toy Story Land nestled behind the Chinese Theater and it is a delight. In this area you have been shrunk down to the size of one of Andy’s Toys and have been invited to play in Andy’s backyard on some of his very own creations. Toy Story Mania! is still an excellent interactive ride where guests get to try their hand at some carnival games set up in Andy’s bedroom. Alien Swirling Saucers takes guests for a whirl with our favorite little green aliens. Finally, Slinky Dog Dash is a family friendly coaster with Slinky Dog that will take you on a twisty and turny ride above Toy Story Land.

The details in this area really are amazing, from benches made from popsicle sticks, railing from K’nex, CandyLand children measuring the height of kids for Slinky Dog Dash, and so much more. It’s both clever and immersive all at once. There are also two dining locations in Toy Story Land, a quick service, Woody's Lunchbox, and a new immersive table service, Round-up Rodeo BBQ.

Exiting Toy Story Land, heading back toward the front of the park, you will pass Pixar Place, and area dedicated to meet & greets of popular Pixar characters including Joy from Inside Out, Sully from Monsters Inc. and our personal favorite, Edna Mode from the Incredibles. We always make sure to stop of the Joffery's location in Pixar Place for a quick pick me up.

Animation Courtyard

Either exiting Pixar Place or veering right from the Chinese Theater, you’ll enter Animation Courtyard, which has been revitalized with the opening of the new Magic of Disney Animation experience. This area now features interactive animation exhibits, character experiences, and family-friendly entertainment alongside Walt Disney Presents and The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure.

Walt Disney Presents remains one of Hollywood Studios' hidden gems, offering a fascinating look at Walt Disney’s life and the history of Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Nearby, guests can meet Ariel from the live-action Little Mermaid. The Courtyard is also home to the newly reopened The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure, making it a worthwhile stop for Disney fans of the animated movie. Disney Junior Mickey Mouse Club House Live, a recently added expereince, is a perfect indoor stop families with preschool age kiddos, or the young at heart. Other new expereinces will be opening late summer of 2026. Your can find all the deets in our Magic of Disney Animation Guide.

Sunset Boulevard

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets entryway in Disney's Hollywood Studios

Making a right turn instead of a left off of Hollywood Boulevard, you will stroll down Sunset Boulevard, past shops and quick service locations, and heading to a you will find a plethora of headline attractions. The two biggest thrill rides in the park are down this way: Tower of Terror and Rock’n’Roller Coaste Staring the Muppets. One will chill you with faster than gravity drops, and the other will get your head banging to the Muppet's Electric Mayham while you twist, turn, and flip through this intense coaster.

This area also brings the show vibe, with two of the biggest performances in the park, Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage and Fantasmic! The first is an abridged production of, you guessed it, Beauty and the Beast, complete with the beloved musical numbers played out in grand theatrical fashion. The second is one of the most popular night time shows in all of Walt Disney World, Fantasmic! which follows Mickey into his imagination and battling the forces of evil. Will Mickey triumph? Speaking of Forces of Evil, the wildly popular new show, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, is can also be found off of Sunset Boulevard, located just behind Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
